Why doesn't the library carry more copies of very popular books?

In an effort to balance cost with demand, the Library has established ratios for holds to number of copies owned. Ratios vary by format and are closely monitored on a weekly basis. Please rest assured that we are working hard to get your item to you quickly!
To see upcoming titles and place a hold early, visit the library's catalog and explore our "Coming Soon" section on the left side!
You also might be interested in borrowing one of eAudiobooks or eBooks through Libby or Hoopla. If the item is available on Hoopla, you can check it out immediately. There is no waitlist.
