What are the rules about promoting a program or meeting held in the library?

Answer

When publicizing a meeting to be held in a library meeting room, the sponsoring group must be clearly identified. Groups must not imply Library sponsorship of their program or organization in their publicity. Purposes or views of customers reserving rooms shall in no way be announced or advertised so as to suggest that the organization’s mission or views are endorsed by the Library. Publicly distributed marketing materials for any program held in a Library meeting room must include the language, "This program is not affiliated with or sponsored by the St. Charles City-County Library" and should not include the Library logo. Please use the branch name and street address as the location.
